Keep you up to date with all our news. we'll let you know whats we've been up to as well as what weve been planning.

In case you missed it, this tag line ‘more than just a gym’ has come to sum up what Halo’s about. Don’t get us wrong -  we love our gyms (and sports halls and pools and classes), but it’s more than that which transforms lives. Members tell us it’s the ‘me’ time and new mates, the stress beaters and sense of achievement…

Students are exercising more often than their predecessors, seeing it as a way to beat stress and boost memory and concentration, to meet new friends and to find more energy. Don’t stop while you’re off. This summer we’re running our hugely popular 3 for 2 membership offer which means anyone in full time education (aged 18 or over) can access Active Membership for three months for the price of two.

Did you know we have swimming lessons at Ross Swimming Pool on Tuesday and Thursday mornings for children aged 3+ where parents don't have to get in the water with them?

Learning to swim could save your child's life (drowning is still one of the most common causes of accidental death in children) and it also keeps their heart and lungs healthy, improves strength and flexibility, increases stamina and even improves balance and posture.

Members and non members can now pre-book and pay for swimming sessions online at

Once you’ve booked all you have to do is show your confirmation email to reception who will then allow you entry…. So no more turning up and finding out the pool is full and having to hang around or going home with disappointed children!

Guarantee your space in the pool now by pre-booking!

Before you plan your visit over the August Bank Holiday weekend don’t forget to check out our opening times below…

We are excited to be adding 5 additional classes to our group exercise programme every weekday morning at 6.30am...

"My time in the suite became is my 'me' time. It made me feel better in so many ways...Verina Potter is 46 and works as an office administrator in Hereford. Her journey to our Toning Suite started while she was on holiday last summer when she vowed to improve her health for the sake of her children. Back in the UK she prioritised time out to make a change. But she had no idea how life transforming that change would be.

We love racket sports at Halo. They provide opportunities for fitness and fun, and work brilliantly for those wanting to play socially while they get fit with the family. That’s why we are introducing our new Sunday family racket session for just £5!

Anyone who knows and loves our outdoor pool at Severn Centre will be familiar with its story. It was created by and for the local community in the 1970s to provide locals with a safe space to swim. In need of massive refurbishment a few years ago and (like so many lidos) at risk of closing, it saw the local community once again rise to the challenge, working with us to raise thousands to secure its rescue and renovation.

We all know children love to move around. Just catch that smile on their face when you race them across the park or they jump through a wave on the beach or score a goal for their team. But at Halo we’re about making movement a lifetime habit. We know, though, that it can be a challenge for children to get enough daily activity. There are a host of barriers to being active - from the stress of exams to the feeling that they’re not good enough at sports, from friends who’d rather play games online than in the park to a family schedule that is fit to bust.
