Calling everyone (aged 12 and over) to Bridgend Life Centre this Easter holiday! We're hosting a magical way to get moving with a two hour Disney-themed Zumbathon in aid of the charity Make A Wish, which helps life-changing wishes come true for children with critical illness (check out their amazing work at including stories of children who've had wishes come true here in Wales).

You'll see the posters in pharmacy windows and events on national news this month, but the real journey starts with each of us understanding what is stressing us out and taking steps - even baby ones - to doing something about it.

We've given this one a shout out before and we'll do it again, because spring has sprung, the blossom is on the trees, and there is nothing better in our books than a Zumba class to put a spring in your own step and a smile on your winter’s-finally-over weary faces.

Did you know 1 in 3 children can’t swim when leaving primary school? Learning to swim could save your child's life (drowning is still one of the most common causes of accidental death in children) and it also keeps their heart and lungs healthy, improves strength and flexibility, increases stamina and even improves balance and posture.

You can now park at Hereford Leisure Pool for two hours for the earlier price of one between 8am-3pm! Working with Herefordshire Council, Halo are pleased to announce a reduction in car parking charges here from March 1 for six months.

“It’s not just about the weight loss. It’s about feeling better, feeling in control, and feeling motivated to look after yourself…” Lorraine Brown is 54 and works in a secondary school in Hereford, supporting pupils as part of the Student Services team.  She has two grown up daughters and lives with her partner, David.

As competition in the world of the local gym toughens up (we see the offers too!) we have been incredibly moved and motivated by the support you’re offering (words, actions, visits, paid up memberships) for the work we do. You know that as a social enterprise we plough all our profit back into our communities but we wanted to remind you how far that goes and the difference it makes.

Offering the best value for money if you want to work out and wind down at Hereford Leisure Centre and Hereford Leisure Pool.
