Local Councillor catches up with the dementia friendly Feel Good for Life programme at Leominster Leisure Centre

We were delighted to welcome Councillor Gandy, Cabinet Member for Adult Health & Wellbeing, to our Tuesday Feel Good For Life session at Leominster Leisure Centre.

Councillor Gandy joined us to see firsthand the positive impact these sessions are having on our community. The atmosphere was full of smiles, laughter, and a strong sense of togetherness, highlighting just how vital this programme is for individuals living with dementia, as well as for their carers and loved ones.

Feel Good For Life runs every Tuesday from 11:15am to 1:15pm at Leominster Leisure Centre. The sessions offer supported swimming, socialising, and light refreshments in a safe and welcoming environment.

This inspiring programme supports individuals diagnosed with dementia, proving that they can continue to enjoy meaningful activities – and even discover new ones. Gentle, low-impact exercise offers both physical and emotional benefits, helping to improve quality of life at all stages of the dementia journey.

We are deeply grateful for the ongoing support and funding from Herefordshire Council, Dementia Matters Herefordshire, Wye Valley NHS Trust, and Alzheimer’s Society UK. Their generosity has made this life-changing project possible.
