Huge shoutout please...

...to all the social care workers in this county this month, as the UK marks Good Care Month and specifically the work done in the sector to promote health and wellbeing - not only for those who benefit from social care, but everyone around them as a result of the support they receive.

At Halo we love the programmes we run with the help of social care workers. They include our fall prevention classes in care homes in Bridgend County Borough which have such a positive impact on those taking part, and our award winning Feel Good for Life programme in both Bridgend and Herefordshire. It welcomes people living with dementia or those simply feeling low or isolated and, in guided groups, they come together to enjoy accessible sports and a chance to chat and socialise with others like them. The professional and family carers who join them are as inspiring as those taking part.
