Children's Lessons & Fun Sessions

Details

Our team of trained Swim England swimming teachers offer a superb inclusive swimming programme at our pool. The programmes are available to children (from 6 months), and the classes ensure improved water confidence and swimming technique while allowing children to progress at their own pace. 

 

Parent and Toddler Swim Sessions 6 months- 4 years

This session is for tots aged 6 months - 4 years, developing water confidence and teaching parents how to handle their children in the water whilst enjoying this unique bonding experience. The parent and toddler session will ensure that children have the best and safest start possible with qualified instructors advising on handling techniques and water safety. The parent joins the child in the water. Available during school term time.

When:

Monday - 9:00 - 9:30 & 9:30 - 10:00

Group Lessons for children 4 years +

These weekly half-hour sessions are for children who are confident enough to get in the pool without you. They'll work (at their own pace) through 7 stages to become confident, competent swimmers and then have the opportunity to move to stages 8-10 to develop additional skills like diving. Find out what each stage covers here

When: Group lessons run Monday-Friday from 3.30pm with Saturday morning lessons also available.

Diving Lessons

If you really want to get into diving, then speak to Highworth Phoenix Diving Club who are based at our pool - Contact Irene Aldridge on 01793 764890 for details.

Lifesaving Club & Lessons

The Rookie programme is geared towards confident swimmers aged 8-12 years who have achieved Stage 5+. The Rookie Lifeguard programme is a fun, exciting water safety award scheme. There are 9 core awards, teaching children to stay safe around water and what to do in an emergency.

Fun Swim

These are public sessions in a pool filled with floats and toys. Great for family fun. This session is for adults with children to swim together and encourage water confidence, unaccompanied children will not be admitted. Booking is highly recommended.
