Our team of trained Swim Wales Swimming Teachers offer a superb inclusive swimming programme at our five pools in Bridgend County. The programme's available to children (from four months of age), and the classes ensure improved water confidence and swimming technique while allowing them to progress without pressure at their own pace.

Pre-school Lessons for 4 months - 3 years

Adult and child lessons for 4-36 months old at Bridgend Life Centre: The graduated sloping floor into the swimming pool at Bridgend Life Centre makes this an ideal pool to introduce your baby to the water. Adults join the little ones in the water to play and exercise to music with a team of new water buddies. We'll help your growing toddler to swim using games, toys and floats.

Pre-school lessons for 3+ year olds at Bridgend Life Centre: We'll help your growing toddler to swim, with the aid of fun, games, floats and four grades of colourful Swim Wales Foundation Framework Splash Award badges to achieve along the way. Watch them reach for the top award as they jump, duck under and swim five metres unaided.

These weekly sessions are 30 minutes. You can join the programme at any time. You need to book and pay in advance (by direct debit) and costs £20 per month or £14.50 for families qualifying for certain means tested benefits. Children also get free access to any public swim session if they pay by direct debit.
