Adult Lessons

Details

A high proportion of adults can’t swim at all, or can’t swim well enough to jump in the deep end after their children. We offer 1-2-1 and group swimming lessons for adults of all ages who want to learn from scratch or simply improve confidence and technique and benefit from this fabulous and fun way to stay fit and healthy.

All lessons run continuously for 50 weeks per year, pausing over the christmas break for 2 weeks. These lessons will allow you to progress at your own pace and offer the perfect springboard into independent, confident swimming.
 
You will also get free access to any public swim session at any Halo Leisure swimming pool in Bridgend County when you pay by direct debit, so that you can practice your swimming outside of your lessons as well.

Lessons last between 30-45 minutes and are available at Bridgend Life Centre, Maesteg Swimming Pool, Pencoed Swimming Pool and Ynysawdre Swimming Pool.

There are three different levels to the adult learn to swim programme:

Beginners: basic or non-swimmers

Improvers: swimmers who’d benefit from improved technique

Advanced: swimmers who want advice to improve stroke technique, efficiency and fitness. 

Date and Times:

Bridgend Life Centre - Every Tuesday

Beginners - 11.30am

Improvers - 12 noon

Advanced - 12.20pm

Lessons are 30 minutes long. 

Pencoed Swimming Pool - Tuesday and Thursday

Tuesdays 6pm - 7pm (Various levels available, 30 min lessons)

Thursdays 2pm - 3pm (Various levels available, 30 min lessons)

Maesteg Swimming Pool - Thursdays

Thursday - Beginners at 5.30pm 
Thursday - Intermediate at  6.00 pm

Both classes are 30 minute classes.
