Sparks Pre Development
Our Pre-Development Squad is the first step for gymnasts showing high potential, focusing on refining basic techniques and building the core strength required for competitive success.
WHAT'S INVOLVED?
Sparks Pre Development is for gymnasts that are on our pathway to become a Sparks Squad and have been selected to attend these sessions by one of our Head Halo Sparks coaches.
BUILD CONFIDENCE
The session will be an interactive and structured weekly session taught by Halo Sparks coaches who will be guiding and supporting your child each step of the way to prepare them for competitions where they will be using 3 or 4 pieces of apparatus at regional level.
REWARDING
Gymnasts will still be following the National Gymnastics Awards Programme working towards competition levels. Competition entry will be prioritised on the gymnasts individual ability.
FUN & ENGAGING
This class still has the fun, interactive, social side of gymnastics while working on progression of the conditioning and flexibility side of the sport. This session also promotes interaction, social skills and gymnastics fundamentals skills.
Session Information
SESSION TIMES
Your child will train 4, 6 or 8 hours per week depending on age and level.
PRICE
Lessons are paid monthly by Direct Debit. The Halo Sparks coach will inform you of the monthly fee which is based on number of hours of training recommended based on assessment when becoming part of the Sparks Pre Development group.
DISCOUNTS
There are discounted prices are available for families receiving Council Tax Reduction, Housing Benefit, Employment Support Allowance and Universal Credit. Lessons are paid for by monthly Direct Debit. Speak to a member of staff when setting up your Direct Debit.
CLOTHING
Gymnasts should wear a leotard and bring any equipment the coach recommends for that session.
BRING A DRINK
Don’t forget a drinks bottle – having fun is thirsty work!

Grown ups DO NOT need to say on site during these lessons.
We have a dedicated Gymnastics viewing room, which has a live feed, so you can relax and still watch your Child’s session. Collection and drop off is at Reception.
