Award;
Includes support in the form of an annual free Training Membership to ALL facilities

Sports Partners;
Organisations that operate within the sports industry and have knowledge of athletes at a competitive level. Such as Sports Aid, National Governing Bodies and the British Olympic Association.

  • All applicants must agree to comply with ‘Terms & Conditions’ prior to application being accepted. The ‘T&C’s’ box should be ticked at the end of the online application process.
  • The Halo Sport Foundation operates in Bridgend County Borough Council, Herefordshire  and Torfaen regions only.  In Bridgend County the scheme is  in partnership with GLL Sport Foundation.
  • All applicants under 18 years of age must have parent/guardian permission prior to submitting.
  • There are no age restrictions, however, under-16s will need to be aware of certain equipment use limitations.
  • Full details of the athlete will be shared with ‘Sport Partners’ to verify applicants’ sporting ability and standing in order to accurately profile awards.
  • The information contained on the Application Form must be correct to the best of the applicant’s knowledge.
  • The Halo Sport Foundation reserves the right to request confirmation that the Training Membership is being used in line with the athlete’s training and sporting progression.
  • Recipients of a Halo Sport Foundation award are not precluded from seeking and securing support from other parties.
  • The Halo Sport Foundation reserves the right to withdraw training membership and facility access if Terms and Conditions are not adhered to by supported athletes.
  • Halo Sport Foundation Training Memberships can only be used by the athlete to whom the award is given.
  • Halo Sport Foundation memberships will be valid in line with our award season (April to April).
  • All applicants must recognise Halo Leisure’s support by using “supported by Halo Leisure Sport Foundation” on publicity materials and social media biographies.
  • Halo Sport Foundation will require successful applicants to make themselves available for at least one Event appearance or photo call per annum upon being given reasonable notice, and giving reasonable consideration to other educational, work or sporting commitments.
  • By confirming attendance at any Halo Sport Foundation event, athletes acknowledge and agree that photographs, video footage, and other media may be captured during the event. Halo Sport Foundation may use this media for social media, promotional, and other marketing purposes.
  • Athletes who do not wish to appear in such media may request to “opt out” by speaking with the local event team upon arrival. Halo Sport Foundation will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests; however, athletes understand that complete exclusion from all event media cannot be guaranteed.
  • Applicants must agree to be a role model for other Halo Leisure centre users, abiding by all centre rules set out by general managers.
  • Athletes will be required to provide information to the Halo Sport Foundation, including their competitive events attended and planned, their training regime and general updates by email on a quarterly basis.
  • Notification must be given to Halo Leisure if you incur a personal injury preventing you from continued participation.
  • 6-monthly summary reports must be submitted detailing the competition programme, results, and achievements.
  • Successful applicants in receipt of a Halo Sport Foundation Training Membership must complete all necessary membership documentation and agree to observe the Terms and Conditions of Membership and Leisure Centre Rules –https://haloleisure.org.uk/memberships/membership-terms-conditions/
  • Halo Sport Foundation support is dependent on Halo Leisure operating leisure contracts in your area.
