I am thrilled to announce that Halo Leisure has been conditionally awarded the prestigious Investors In Diversity (IiD) Award by the esteemed National Centre For Diversity.

This recognition reaffirms our unwavering commitment to embedding Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, and Engagement (FREDIE) principles throughout our organization.

The results of the initial diagnostic survey have shown that we have successfully integrated good FREDIE practices within our organization. Furthermore, our comprehensive review of policies and procedures confirmed that they are well-suited for our organization. In areas where we identified gaps, we took immediate action by developing additional policies and procedures to ensure inclusivity and fairness across the board.

One of the key factors contributing to our success is the establishment of a strategic-level FREDIE steering group, which I am privileged to be a part of. This group oversees the implementation of our IiD action plan, ensuring that FREDIE principles are deeply embedded in our organization's DNA. Additionally, we have appointed FREDIE champions from various departments and centres to support and drive our inclusive initiatives.

I am incredibly proud of the progress we have made in implementing actions identified from the diagnostic surveys. We have taken concrete steps to ensure that FREDIE principles are ingrained in our organizational culture. For instance, we have incorporated FREDIE principles into our corporate induction program, providing all new starters with a solid foundation in our values. We have also rolled out FREDIE basics and unconscious bias training to enhance awareness and understanding among our staff.

Updating our whistleblowing policy to address discriminatory concerns and implementing equalities monitoring for our employees are further testament to our dedication to fairness and equality. Importantly, we have integrated FREDIE principles into every performance review, underscoring the value we place on diversity and inclusion.

Receiving the Investors In Diversity Award is an immense source of pride for all of us at Halo Leisure. It validates our efforts thus far and inspires us to continue our journey of embedding FREDIE principles throughout our entire company. Our goal is to create an environment where each and every employee feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives and talents.
