7 Halo Leisure - This is about all of us...

Main Content

When inclusion works, and people are welcomed into work or workouts, friendship groups or community spaces - no matter what their ability or disability - it not only works for the person who faces a challenge, it changes and enriches the lives of everyone around them.

International Day of People with Disabilities on December 3 works to not only make sure that we face up to the barriers for people living with a disability, but work to make sure those barriers can be overcome. It recognises that while we can't eradicate all health challenges, we can eradicate disablement. The stuff that stops inclusion. This year we want to mark the day by celebrating work so far to promote access (from our dementia friendly swimming sessions and quiet time swimming sessions to our easy-access toning suites) and to hear from you what more we could do in 2020.
