Bryan White - Halo’s Chair of Trustees has been awarded a British Empire Medal in New Years Honours List 2019 for services to community sport.
After weeks of keeping it a secret, we can finally crack open the champagne and announce that Bryan White who has been at the helm of Halo’s Board of Trustees since it’s creation in 2002 has been recognised in the New Years Honours List in recognition of his unwavering commitment to the inclusion of local people across Herefordshire in sport and physical activity. Over the years Bryan’s professional and personal life has revolved around all things active; first coming to the county as Head of PE and Sport at the then newly opened Sixth Form College in Hereford city and then going on to establish Herefordshire Sport - a much needed forum for local sports clubs. His passion for getting more people more active more often especially children and young people has seen him receive ‘Outstanding Contribution to Sport’ and ‘Sport Volunteer of the Year’ awards as well as being an Olympic Torch Bearer for London Games 2012. We are just so so proud of Bryan and under his leadership we are achieving our mission of ‘Creating Healthier Communities’. #NewYearHonours2019
