The Ski Slope is BACK!

Nestled in the heart of Pontypool Park, the Pontypool Snowsports Centre has reopened for the season — ready to welcome skiers, snowboarders, and thrill-seekers of all ages.

With over 50 years of snowsport heritage, the centre is home to Wales’ longest artificial ski slope (230 metres), making it one of the country’s most iconic destinations for skiing and snowboarding.

Whether you’re an experienced skier looking to refine your technique or a family searching for your next fun day out, Pontypool’s slope offers excitement, challenge, and community spirit in equal measure.

Fresh Upgrades for a Brighter, Better Season

This year, the Halo team has been working behind the scenes to make sure the slope is in top condition for your return.

Skiing, Snowboarding & Tubing in Torfaen

There’s something for everyone at the Pontypool Snowsports Centre:

Recreational Skiing and Snowboarding
Perfect for confident skiers and snowboarders looking to get back on the slope. Sessions last 1.5 hours, including setup and pack-down, and all equipment hire is included.

Ski & Snowboard Coaching
Improve your technique or take your first turns under expert guidance from our coaching partners, Terry Jeynes Ski Coaching — offering both private and group sessions.

Tubing Fun for All Ages
Not a skier? No problem! Tubing is the perfect way to experience the thrill of the slope — ideal for families, parties, or a fun weekend activity with friends.

How to Book Your Session

First-Time Bookings: If this is your first visit to the ski slope, you must call 01633 627 100 before booking. Our team will then set up your account and send you a waiver form to complete. Once we’ve received your completed waiver, you’ll be able to make all future bookings easily through the Halo app or website.

Waiver Form Information:

• You do not need to complete a new form for each visit.

• For children under 17, please complete the form using their details.

What to Bring

To make sure you’re comfortable and safe on the slope, please wear:

• Long sleeves and trousers (ideally waterproof)

• Gloves and thick socks

Toilets are available on-site, and you’re welcome to use the full facilities at Pontypool Active Living Centre, including changing rooms and café.
