£100k Changing Room Revamp Complete at Much Wenlock Leisure Centre!
£100,000 Transformation Unveiled for Swimming Pool Changing Facilities at Much Wenlock Leisure Centre!
We are thrilled to share some fantastic news with our community! Building on our recent site investments, Much Wenlock Leisure Centre has officially completed a major £100,000 upgrade dedicated entirely to transforming our swimming pool changing areas and showers.
Following hot on the heels of our newly completed £75,000 gym refurbishment, this milestone marks another huge step forward in our sitewide transformation under our 10-year partnership between Halo Leisure, The 3-18 Education Trust, and Shropshire Council.

This significant investment has completely modernised our changing spaces to elevate your overall visit. Key improvements include:
Funding & Strategic Partnerships
Giving a big thumbs up to the finished transformation on-site were key representatives from across the partnership: David O’Toole (CEO, The 3-18 Education Trust), Jamie Bryant (Halo Operations Director), Matt Smith (Halo Partnership Manager), Dan Rouse (General Manager at Much Wenlock Leisure Centre), Ruth Shaw (Head Teacher at William Brookes School), and Councillor Dan Thomas (Shropshire Council).
This project was made possible through Shropshire Council’s Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) fund, which reinvests local development contributions directly back into vital community infrastructure.
Working alongside our valued partners at The 3-18 Education Trust, carrying out these works over the summer break allowed us to keep the public swimming schedule completely uninterrupted while school facilities were quiet!
