FAQ or everything you need to know...
We are lucky to have a Cycling Development Coordinator dedicated to making your trip to the track fun and safe. They are looking at all the ways we can get more people more active more often through cycling. This could be group get togethers, summer holiday fun sessions, beginner slots and cycling challenges. Here’s a few words from them about their cycling credentials and plans for the track.
Hello from Chris
“I’m an avid cyclist, I have always cycled for pleasure and leisure on long and short tours, in groups and solo. I’ve always used my bike to travel to and from work, no matter the weather, and I use a trailer for shopping trips. I’ve raced in triathlons and time trials, and am a member of Hereford Triathlon Club. I find cycling takes the stress out of getting to my appointments on time, and I never have a problem parking! I want other people to embrace cycling as an everyday way of travel. I really believe one of the potential outcomes of the new Hereford Cycle Track will be to encourage people to do this by increasing their confidence on a bike and to meet people like me who can speak about the benefits of travel by bike.” Chris brings his deep passion for cycling to the forefront. With years of experience as an enthusiastic cyclist, he is not only a dedicated advocate but also a living testament to the incredible advantages of two-wheeled transportation. Chris’s commitment to cycling extends far beyond his role at the track; it’s a way of life for him. He pedals through rain and shine, effortlessly merging fitness with daily life by commuting on his trusty bike. Whether it’s conquering triathlons, time trials, or simply cruising the local trails, Chris embodies the true spirit of cycling. But what truly sets Chris apart is his unwavering belief in the power of cycling as a practical mode of transportation. He understands that cycling not only promotes a healthier lifestyle but also offers an eco-friendly, congestion-busting alternative to traditional commuting. As one of the driving forces behind the new Hereford Cycle Track, Chris aims to empower our community to embrace cycling for everyday travel. His vision is simple yet powerful: By building confidence and fostering connections within the cycling community, the Hereford Cycle Track will inspire more people to ditch their cars, reduce stress, and experience the joy of pedaling to their destinations and for fitness and fun.
