Are you ready to get moving on our £1.75m cycle track?
Hereford’s new 1km closed road traffic free cycle track offers cyclists of all ages and abilities the chance to learn to ride, train at every level, and enjoy their sport without having to negotiate busy roads.
One of only 30 specific closed-road circuits in England, the design provides a fully enclosed Tarmac circuit (4 m wide) suitable for all ages and abilities, a children’s learn to ride area with street markings to help new cyclists build confidence.
Phase 2 – coming soon… will see the introduction of the off road skills area allowing you to experience different surfaces and terrains. Along with lighting to enable year round provision. After your workout why not wind down in the small rest area with washroom facilities backed by the main local leisure centre just 200m away with its own onsite cafe and vending machines. Cycles including adaptive cycles will be available as part of a planned programme and for hire to encourage wider participation.

This exciting addition to the city’s sports facilities is a unique partnership between Sport England, British Cycling, Stronger Hereford, Herefordshire Council, Hereford City Council and Halo Leisure who will run the track day-to-day.
