Halo Leisure Scoops Two Major Awards at National Awards recognising Health, Wellbeing and Inclusion.
Halo Leisure scooped a double win at The Community Leisure UK Seriously Social Awards on 14th November which celebrates the outstanding work of social enterprises and leisure trusts across the UK. These awards highlight organisations making a real difference in their communities through health, wellbeing, and inclusion initiatives.
Health and Wellbeing Award
Our programme for unpaid carers in Bridgend County was recognised for its powerful impact. By offering 180 unpaid carers opportunities to improve their physical and mental wellbeing, we’ve created a six-week experience that includes exercise, relaxation, nutrition, and social support. These sessions have become a meaningful way for carers to manage stress, learn about their rights, and connect with others. To learn more about this programme please check out our website here.
Inclusion Award
Our Feel Good for Life (FGFL) project in Hereford, dedicated to supporting people affected by dementia, loneliness, and depression (along with their carers), was honoured for reducing social isolation and keeping people physically active. To learn more about this programme please check here.
The programmes would not be possible without the support from our partners and we would like to thank Public Health Herefordshire (Herefordshire Council) and Bridgend County Borough Counci
