Snowsports Centre at Pontypool Active Living Centre

Set in the heart of picturesque Pontypool Park, our Snowsports Centre features Wales’ longest artificial slope at 230 metres, a dedicated beginner’s area, ski lift, sprinkler system, and bump run. All slope activities, lessons, and recreational sessions are delivered in partnership with Terry Jeynes Ski Coaching, offering expert instruction for all ages and skill levels. Join us to learn a new skill, spend time on the slope, or enjoy an activity with friends and family.

  • Ski & Snowboard Lessons: From first-timers to seasoned riders, our structured group lessons help beginners get started and improvers build skills and confidence. Looking for targeted feedback? We also offer private lessons and coaching tailored to your individual goals.

 

  • Recreational Skiing & Snowboarding: Already able to link turns, control your speed, and use the lift independently? Book recreational slope time to practice, hone your technique, or simply enjoy skiing and snowboarding at your own pace.

 

  • Tubing: No skiing or snowboarding experience needed! Tubing is a fun-filled, high-energy activity down the slope—perfect for families, friends, and groups of all ages.
  • Schools & Youth Groups: Encourage teamwork, confidence, and physical activity with our tailored school sessions. We offer group activities and ski lessons during or after school, including specialised preparation packages to get pupils confident and familiar with equipment before a school ski trip.
