We are making amends to our group exercise class timetable from Tuesday 19th December for the Christmas period.

Every week 1000s of children come to Halo to learn to swim, and we watch them grow in confidence with every lesson and length. We’re incredibly proud of our swimming school. We know it matters and makes a difference. We know it helps kids keep fit and gives them a skill that can, quite literally, save their life. And we also know there is more to do. At the moment one in three children still leave primary school unable to swim.

Halo is here for you this holiday, but we like to give our team chance to celebrate the season too. Check out our opening and closing hours at your local centre before you plan your visit over the Christmas period...

Now in the sixth year, the Highley Sprint Triathlon is fast establishing itself as one of the most rewarding and beautiful events in the West Midlands. It is a truly unique event taking place on May 13th 2018 based at the Severn Centre in Highley, Shropshire, and run in association with Bridgnorth & Severn Centre Triathlon Club

At Highworth Recreation Centre this week people of all ages are enjoying a swimming lesson, while others have been benefiting from a bespoke gym workout designed by our fitness pro to support gym newbies or those wanting a workout to meet their personal goals.

It’s not only the first choice of the famous (David Beckham, Russell Brand, Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson and others among them), it’s become the favourite for a lot of our members looking for mind and body wellness. This ancient form of exercise focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental wellbeing. You may not be moving fast but you will feel the benefits - less stress, more focus, better sleep, improved strength and flexibility - and once you do you won’t want to miss your weekly session.

We have a collection of the latest workout machines arriving in our gyms at Bromyard, Ynysawdre, Pencoed, Pyle and Maesteg,  that will make your muscles proud and your workout more fun. It includes three new styles of cycles (new Upright, Recumbent and Hybrid cycles) plus treadmills with virtual active programming and television technology, an easy-to-navigate Suspension Elliptical for a total body training session.

Given time is the most precious gift, we love it when visitors come in to one of our centres clutching a Halo voucher, a present they’ve received from their partner or a pal designed to give them time out in the spa or a free class with friends or a game of golf with their mates or all-year-round health and relaxation via a Halo membership.

On the 15th & 16th of October there will be extensive recovery work taking place on the golf course greens at Hereford Leisure Centre to prepare them ready for Spring 2018. The golf course will still be open as usual so you can still come along to play your round of golf!

We are also happy to announce that planning permission for the borehole to supply our sprinkler system for the greens has been granted.
