Like you we can’t wait for the warmer weather, and March sunshine is just around the corner. But we want to make the month even more special by getting behind the GET FIT FOR A MIRACLE campaign, now running to support children facing mental health problems. And we’d love you to get on board too.

Obstacle course racing is becoming more and more popular - so if competing in an obstacle course event is on your radar then this preparation session is for you.

It’s the first school holiday of the year, but too often overshadowed by dark, dank days. But not here at Halo. Check out a whole host of fabulous activities we’ve got lined up for half term, and combine them with some all-weather family time in between in our pools, libraries, sports halls and cafes, JumpInGyms and more…Find out what’s happening at your local centre below.

The applications keep coming in for the next round of Halo Sport Foundation funding, with the deadline this month - February 20th. If you compete at regional level or above (within Olympic, Paralympic, Deaflympic and Special Olympic sporting disciplines or an Olympic inspired sport) and live, go to school or college and have a training base in Bridgend County Borough or Herefordshire, you can apply for a cash grant of up to £1250 to help support your training and progression and/or free access to train at our facilities.

Shrove Tuesday (February 13th, lemons at the ready please!) dates back to the 16th century, pancakes coming into their own as it was seen as a fine way to eat up all the rich foods that might be shelved for Lent (which starts the day after on Ash Wednesday)? If you’re watching your weight (or practising sugar-free February), you can still join in the fun with something a little healthier.
