Keep you up to date with all our news. we'll let you know whats we've been up to as well as what weve been planning.

Like you we can’t wait for the warmer weather, and March sunshine is just around the corner. But we want to make the month even more special by getting behind the GET FIT FOR A MIRACLE campaign, now running to support children facing mental health problems. And we’d love you to get on board too.

Obstacle course racing is becoming more and more popular - so if competing in an obstacle course event is on your radar then this preparation session is for you.

There’s only 4 months to go until Furlong Fury obstacle course event at Hereford Racecourse involving 20 of the most brilliant obstacles (high walls and low walls, monkey bars and mud baths to name a few) to give you a 5km/24 furlong challenge.

At Halo we are on a mission to "Create Healthier Communities"... Can you help us turn this mission into reality and to realise our ambitions of service excellence, growth and diversification?

Halo are super proud to see that Zoe Thomas, triathlete and part time receptionist at their centre in Pyle, has been chosen as a reserve for Team Wales at this Spring’s 21st Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.

Welcome to Active NOW, a £12 for 12 visit pass that you can use at the Severn Centre, Highley. The package includes access to the gym, group exercise classes, badminton, table tennis and tennis courts.

Join us on Wednesdays from 2 - 3pm before a get together over free refreshments. This new initiative is thanks to a collaboration between Halo Leisure, the Alzheimer's Society, ABMU Health Board, BAVO and support from Bridgend County Borough Council. There are accessible facilities and assistance from specially trained instructors and staff.

We are so proud of all our members who rise to the Sport Relief challenge when it comes round, and it's come round again, launching for a week of amazing activities from 17th - 23rd March. This is the perfect way to add focus to your fitness, and add to the amazing work Comic Relief do here and abroad.

It’s the first school holiday of the year, but too often overshadowed by dark, dank days. But not here at Halo. Check out a whole host of fabulous activities we’ve got lined up for half term, and combine them with some all-weather family time in between in our pools, libraries, sports halls and cafes, JumpInGyms and more…Find out what’s happening at your local centre below.

The applications keep coming in for the next round of Halo Sport Foundation funding, with the deadline this month - February 20th. If you compete at regional level or above (within Olympic, Paralympic, Deaflympic and Special Olympic sporting disciplines or an Olympic inspired sport) and live, go to school or college and have a training base in Bridgend County Borough or Herefordshire, you can apply for a cash grant of up to £1250 to help support your training and progression and/or free access to train at our facilities.

Shrove Tuesday (February 13th, lemons at the ready please!) dates back to the 16th century, pancakes coming into their own as it was seen as a fine way to eat up all the rich foods that might be shelved for Lent (which starts the day after on Ash Wednesday)? If you’re watching your weight (or practising sugar-free February), you can still join in the fun with something a little healthier.
