New NERS Memberships
To celebrate HALO Leisure Services running Bridgend County Borough Leisure Facilities, HALO is introducing 3 new memberships for those individuals that live with one or more medical conditions such as diabetes or high blood pressure.
In conjunction with the National Exercise Referral Scheme, HALO are committed to increasing the physical activity rates of the population of Bridgend and improve their health and wellbeing.
NERS 16 Week Pass
This membership allows access to the activities offered as part of the National Exercise Referral Scheme at a one off cost of £32 for the duration of the programme (16 weeks). This would represent a massive saving of £16 over the 16 weeks if you were coming twice per week.
NERS Buddy
To encourage those that may lack a little bit of confidence, HALO has introduced the NERS Buddy membership which allows a carer or family member access to our facilities at the Concessionary price of £21.95 (payable by monthly direct debit). The buddy must come to the centre at the same time as the individual they are supporting on the National Exercise referral Scheme.
Fit For Life Membership.
For those individuals that have completed a minimum number of sessions on the National Exercise Referral scheme, HALO has introduced a reduced membership for those individuals’, to continue exercising and maintain and improve their health and wellbeing. This is available at £15 per month (subject to normal terms and conditions).
So if you’re looking to take up exercise and improve your health, and need a little extra support, speak to your GP or practise nurse and ask to be referred on to the National Exercise Referral Scheme.
