Bridgend Recreation Centre Refurbishment – PROGRESS UPDATE

Your centre's makeover is working wonders...

This is an exciting year for Bridgend Recreation Centre - you'll have seen for yourself  the makeover the place has been experiencing in recent weeks.

After Easter we'll be unveiling our new conference and meeting facilities and celebrating the completion of our brand new 80-station gym, which will give you  50 per cent more room to get fit. We'll also be welcoming you into our three refurbished exercise studios for our extensive range of group exercise classes. This is going to be one of the finest places to work out or wind down in Bridgend County. Don’t forget we also have the pool!

But it doesn't stop there. We'll be picking up the pace during the Spring and Summer and getting to work on our new open plan reception, cafe and library - a space which we know will become a buzzing social hub for the local community. We're also thrilled with our plans for our new sports hall, the new indoor climbing wall and an impressive soft play facility for tinies with its own dedicated birthday party area - which should all be ready for action by early Autumn.

We'll then move into the final phase of our Bridgend refurb, by creating a new spa with Thermal suite, sauna, Jacuzzi, steam room and treatment rooms plus a retail shop where we hope to sell a range of health and fitness products. All will be open for business and ready for some serious relaxation sessions early 2014...
