Bridgnorth Endowed Leisure Centre

Temporary closure of swimming pool at Bridgnorth Endowed Leisure Centre

Thank you so much for your patience while we've been working on your pool and adjacent changing facilities, and for the positive feedback about the new gym and indoor cycling studio.

Whilst working on the final phase of the £400,000 centre refurbishment - the modernisation of the changing rooms, the building specialists have uncovered additional, unforeseen structural issues with the steel support columns. Whilst not unusual in a building of this age (1970’s) this only came to light during the latest survey and needs further attention before the pool can reopen.

Halo an team at Bridgnorth are obviously disappointed - our hope was to have you back in the water early in the New Year - but the pool will have to remain closed until May while scaffolding is erected and remedial work carried out to ensure your centre is in perfect shape for swimmers.

Debbie Swales, Centre Manager went on to say, “It is business as usual for the other facilities at the centre (gym, fitness classes, indoor cycling studio, racket sports, sports hall, all weather pitch).

Halo Leisure is keeping its customers abreast of the latest developments at the centre and the temporary pool closure through the centre's Facebook page or please call the centre on  01746 761541.
